About the event
The Grof® Legacy Community Gathering is an immersive, week-long convening for Grof Legacy teachers, facilitators, and advanced students, created to strengthen connection, collaboration, and shared vision within our international community. Hosted by Grof Legacy Training USA, this inaugural gathering marks the first of an anticipated annual series dedicated to community building and the continued evolution of Grof® Breathwork in the 21st century.
Set at The Franciscan Center—a peaceful retreat center nestled along the Hillsborough River and just fifteen minutes from Tampa International Airport—this gathering offers a supportive container for deep experiential work, meaningful dialogue, and renewed relationships with colleagues and friends, both longtime and new.
Whether you are actively teaching and facilitating Grof® Breathwork, developing new programs, or serving as an advanced student preparing to step more fully into leadership, this gathering provides a rare opportunity to come together in shared practice, reflection, and mutual support under the continued guidance and inspiration of Stan and Brigitte Grof.
What This Workshop Offers
Through shared experience, facilitated dialogue, and informal connection, participants will engage in:
Four Grof® Breathwork Sessions - Participants will rotate roles as breather, sitter, and facilitator, offering a rich opportunity to deepen experiential understanding while learning from one another’s presence and style.
Community Sharing & Open Forums - Facilitated sessions will invite participants to share about their current programs, geographic contexts, interests, and visions, alongside open forum discussions that support collective learning and collaboration.
Connection & Renewal - In addition to structured sessions, the retreat setting allows for unhurried time to reconnect with colleagues, build new relationships, and strengthen the bonds that sustain our growing global community.
We do not anticipate that Stan and Brigitte will be able to join us in person but we will invite them in through Zoom.
A Shared Vision for the Future
As we look toward bringing Grof’s work more fully into the heart of the 21st century—amid profound cultural, ecological, and social challenges—this gathering is intended to lay a foundation for ongoing mutual support, shared wisdom, and creative collaboration. Together, we hope to nurture a living lineage of Grof® Breathwork that is grounded in its origins while responsive to the needs of our changing world.
This gathering is envisioned as the first in a series of annual community meetings, with future locations rotating internationally. Community suggestions for future locations are warmly welcomed.
